Pahlaj Nihalani says Govinda felt sidelined by Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan; recalls the actor abandoning his film due to David Dhawan | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Pahlaj Nihalani, who has worked extensively with Govinda, recently revealed insights into his association with the actor and the reasons behind their collaboration coming to a halt. He also attributed the actor’s Bollywood conspiracy theories involving Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan as factors that strained their working relationship.

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Pahlaj revealed why he hasn’t been working with Govinda for several years.

According to him, it wasDavid Dhawan who created a misunderstanding. Nihalani said that Dhawan felt that he alone was responsible for his hits, and when the producer started working with Anil Kapoor, he felt betrayed. So, he started backbiting about him to Govinda. Pahlaj shared that actors would come and tell him what he was saying behind his back. So they soon went their separate ways. He even went on to add that Govinda abandoned a film they were doing together because of what David said to him.After a long time Pahlaj and Govinda reunited for ‘Rangeela Raja‘. The film was a remake of a Rajinikanth film, and Govinda did a fabulous job in it. According to Pahlaj, Govinda did a better job than Rajinikanth in it and he was sure he would win some awards. However, just before the release, the actor went and started talking about being sidelined by the industry. He said Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were responsible. Pahlaj revealed that at the last minute, his shows were cancelled. Pahlaj also pointed out how the ‘Hero No 1’ actor is now sitting at home with no work.
Govinda was last seen in the 2021 comedy-drama ‘Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai’, directed by Ravi Chopra.
