New Delhi: A Delhi court Tuesday granted interim bail to NEET-UG 2026 paper leak accused Yash Yadav to enable him to appear for the re-examination scheduled on June 21 and attend his sister’s wedding.Special judge Vishal Gogne of Rouse Avenue Courts observed that Yadav’s “rights as a student could not be defeated by denial of the opportunity to appear in the examination”.Yadav’s counsel argued th-at his status as an accused could not “act to his detriment” in pursuing the retest, particularly in light of the fundamental right to education. CBI contended that Yadav was among the conspirators involved in the sale of the question paper. It also expressed apprehensions that he could go on the run. The court directed the superintendent of Central Jail, Tihar, to facilitate the download of Yadav’s admit card by June 17. It ordered that he be produced in judicial custody at 12 noon at his examination centre in Gurgaon and be returned to custody immediately after the retest.
