About the Author:

Dr. Nishant S. Mehta is a Chartered Accountant, entrepreneur, and intuitive storyteller with a unique ability to bridge two worlds — the structured precision of finance and the intuitive depth of psychic insight. Over decades of tarot reading and psychic practice, Nishant has heard countless stories: whispered confessions, unspoken heartbreaks, and moments of truth that reshaped lives.

Sweetheart. Scandalous. Scammer. draws from those real encounters, transforming fragments of true experiences into a work of fiction that feels startlingly real. The novel blends the emotional intensity of love stories gone wrong with the psychological complexity of human motives, creating a narrative that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

When he isn’t writing, Nishant continues to mentor, speak at events, and offer intuitive guidance, helping people see both the numbers and the signs that shape their journeys. His work is grounded in the belief that behind every reading and every relationship lies a story worth telling — and a truth worth uncovering.

Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: The idea for this book didn’t come from a single moment. It came from many conversations over the years quiet conversations where people spoke about relationships that had affected them deeply. Often these stories were shared long after everything had ended, when the person had finally processed what had happened. I noticed a pattern: intelligent, capable people questioning their own judgment after being emotionally manipulated. That stayed with me. I felt there was space for a story that explored these experiences honestly, without exaggeration or blame.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: Sweetheart. Scandalous. Scammer. is a story about how trust can slowly be misused within a relationship. The protagonist, Arjun, is someone who sees himself as practical and emotionally aware. Yet he finds himself in a situation where affection, attention, and intimacy gradually blur the line between sincerity and manipulation. The book looks at how emotional scams don’t begin with obvious deception. They often begin with things that look very much like care.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: The title reflects the emotional journey in the story. “Sweetheart” represents the beginning—the stage where everything feels warm, promising, and sincere. “Scandalous” represents the moment when things begin to feel unsettling and questions start to arise. And “Scammer” represents the painful realisation that the relationship may not have been what it appeared to be. Together, the words describe the emotional shift that happens gradually over time.

Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A: Writing this book made me realise how complicated human emotions can be. Even people who are logical and self-aware can find themselves ignoring warning signs because they want the relationship to be real. I also realised how rarely emotional loss is discussed openly. People talk about financial mistakes or professional setbacks, but emotional manipulation often remains private, almost like something people feel embarrassed to admit.

Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?

A: Mostly from listening to people. Over time you begin to notice patterns in how people talk about relationships, trust, and disappointment. Sometimes the most revealing parts of a story are not what people say directly, but what they hesitate to say.

Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?

A: The most important thing is to observe honestly. Writing improves when we stop trying to sound impressive and instead focus on being truthful about what we see and feel. Reading widely also helps because it exposes you to different ways of understanding people and situations.

Q: What, In Your Opinion, Are The Most Important Elements Of Good Writing?

A: Clarity and emotional truth. A good story doesn’t need complicated language—it needs sincerity. Readers connect with writing when they recognise something authentic about the human experience.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: The hardest part is knowing when to stop explaining. As a writer you often feel the urge to clarify everything, but sometimes the most meaningful parts of a story are the things that remain slightly unresolved.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Research is important, but not only in the traditional sense. Understanding emotional behaviour, relationship dynamics, and psychological patterns is just as important as factual accuracy.

Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A: Be patient with your voice. Write about things you genuinely understand or care about. And don’t rush the process good stories often take time to find their final form.
