US-Iran War News LIVE: Mojtaba Khamenei Vows ‘Unforgettable Lessons’ For US After Fresh Attacks
US-Iran War News LIVE Updates: The US-Iran conflict saw its most serious escalation in weeks on Wednesday, with Tehran launching a fresh wave of ballistic missile and drone attacks on US-linked military facilities across Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, after Washington carried out a barrage of new airstrikes on Iran.
Jordan said its air defences intercepted 10 of 13 Iranian ballistic missiles that entered its airspace, while the remaining three fell in remote areas. No casualties were reported. Iran’s IRGC, meanwhile, claimed it had targeted the US Marine Corps base at Camp Titin, although its claim of American casualties has not been independently verified.
Kuwait also reported missile and drone attacks, while Bahrain issued a public safety alert after Iran said it had targeted Sheikh Isa Airbase with drones.
The escalation followed fresh US strikes on IRGC air defence, radar, maritime and mine-laying facilities. US President Donald Trump had warned that any Iranian retaliation would trigger an even “much harder and higher” US attack.
The latest Iranian strikes also came after a US attack in Sirik, southern Iran, where the Iranian Red Crescent said five people, including a child, were killed and more than 50 others wounded at a wedding ceremony.
