Wipro asks staff to work from office thrice a week – Times of India

BENGALURU: Like some of its peers, Wipro is asking employees to return to office thrice a week beginning November 15. Wipro has warned employees of consequences from January 7 if they fail to comply with the policy.
When TOIreached out to Wipro, the company said, “Recognising the immense benefits of in-person collaboration and innovation, we are now taking the next step in our workplace policy evolution and requiring all employees to work from the office three days a week, effective November 15.We strongly believe that in-person interactions are critical to the professional development of our talent as well as to our success in driving ongoing innovation for clients. We look forward to welcoming all our employees to the office.”
Wipro said since May, the company has been encouraging its employees to work from office thrice a week. “Currently, approximately 55% of our employees are coming to the office three days a week,” it said.
Recently, Infosys has asked select employees at the junior and mid-levels to return to office 10 days in a month beginning November 20. TCS, on the other hand, is asking employees to return to office on all five days of the week.
