The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 has been postponed indefinitely after the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) backed out of hosting the remainder of the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) source confirmed on Friday. SUBSCRIBE NOW!The final eight matches of the PSL, originally scheduled to be held in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, were shifted to the UAE earlier. However, just as overseas players began arriving in Dubai on Friday night, the ECB has reportedly informed PCB officials that it would no longer facilitate the tournament.Who’s that IPL player?While relocating PSL to the UAE, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi had earlier expressed disappointment over the situation, especially for fans in Pakistan. “I regret that our domestic audience and cricket lovers will not be able to watch these matches in Pakistan’s stadiums,” he said. “But as a responsible organisation, it is our duty to prioritise the safety and mental well-being of players and staff.”Naqvi reiterated PCB’s commitment to keeping politics out of sports and ensuring the continuity of cricket. “We hope our stakeholders will continue to support us as we navigate these challenges together,” he added.

IPL 2025 suspended: What happens next?

The league had yet to release a detailed revised schedule following its relocation, and now, with the ECB’s withdrawal, the future of the 2025 PSL season remains uncertain.
