Congress Claims Bhupen Borah Withdrew Resignation, He Says ‘Not Yet’

Assam Congress in-charge Jitendra Singh informed that Bora’s resignation was not accepted by the party.

Congress on Monday claimed that Bhupen Borah has withdrawn his resignation from the party after a phone call with Rahul Gandhi. However, the former Congress chief said he has not taken back his resignation and will decide on it by the end of the day.

Assam Congress in-charge Jitendra Singh informed that Bora’s resignation was not accepted by the party.

“Bhupen Borah has spoken to Rahul Gandhi for 15 minutes. The Assam Congress chief has taken back the resignation,” Singh said.

However, Borah contradicted Singh’s remark and said, he needs time to decide and has not taken by his resignation.
