During the hearing, Senior Advocate Aparajita Singh informed the court that Raina had allegedly failed to reach out to the Cure SMA Foundation or individuals suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) despite assurances given earlier.
The bench directed him to deposit the amount within two weeks, warning that coercive action would follow in case of non-compliance.
“You have taken the court for a ride,” the Supreme Court observed while passing the order.
The controversy stems from an episode of India’s Got Latent that sparked widespread criticism last year after influencer Ranveer Allahbadia made remarks about parents and sex, leading to multiple legal proceedings and renewed debate over content standards and accountability for digital creators.
