NEW DELHI: Air India Delhi-London flight on Monday returned to the origin within three hours of take off due to an unruly passenger on board who reportedly hit two cabin crew members.
The Boeing 787 had taken off at 6.52am on Monday and returned at 9.36am.

According to sources, the passenger turned unruly soon after take off and started misbehaving with crew members.

“He hit two of our crew members. The flight could not have continued to the destination and returned to Delhi. The passenger has been handed over to the police and a complaint has been filed,” say sources.

“Not heeding to verbal and written warnings, the passenger continued with unruly behaviour including causing physical harm to two of the cabin crew members. The passenger was handed over to the security personnel upon landing. An FIR has also been lodged with the police,” Air India said in a statement.
